Add Public Witness Scheduler to your Android home screen

This creates a quick shortcut on your Android phone so Public Witness Scheduler is easy to open like an app icon. The exact wording can vary a little by device and browser, but the process is usually very similar.

Try the app install first

Most Android users should use the Install as an app guide instead of this page. Chrome and Edge can install Public Witness Scheduler as a real app with its own icon, splash screen, and full-screen view — a better experience than a plain bookmark.

The steps below still work and are a good fallback if you use a browser other than Chrome or Edge (such as Firefox or Samsung Internet), or if you just prefer a simple shortcut.

1. Open the site in Chrome

  1. On your Android phone, open Chrome.
  2. Go to pws.peninsulalogic.com.
  3. Sign in if you want to confirm you are on the right site.

2. Open the browser menu

  1. Tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of Chrome.
  2. Look through the menu options for the home-screen action.

3. Tap Add to Home screen

  1. Tap Add to Home screen.
  2. On some Android devices you may instead see Install app or Add to phone.
  3. If Chrome asks for confirmation, continue to the next step.
Tip: Android wording varies by phone brand and browser version, but any option that adds a shortcut or installs the site to the home screen is usually the right choice.

4. Confirm the shortcut

  1. Review the shortcut name.
  2. Tap Add or Install.
  3. If Android gives you a placement preview, confirm where the icon should go.

5. Open PWS from your home screen

  1. Return to your phone’s home screen.
  2. Find the new Public Witness Scheduler shortcut.
  3. Tap it any time you want faster access to the scheduler.
Note: If you sign out or your session expires, the shortcut will still work, but it may bring you back to the sign-in page first.
